From Personal Loss to Professional Support

Having faced my own deep loss, I’m here to help you navigate the heavy and complex journey of grief.

My Philosophy as a Licensed Therapist

Hello! My name is Gabrielle (Gaby), and I am here to help you face your sh** and grow, even the heavy and painful things, like grief and loss.

I know firsthand how hard and painful the grieving experience can be. My own journey through grief has shaped my approach as a therapist—I’m here to support others who are going through the same thing because I understand just how overwhelming it can feel.

I believe in facing our struggles head-on and growing through them. My approach to therapy is built on mutual respect, openness, and accountability. I’m here to support and challenge you, so we can work together to find healing and peace.

Therapy is hard work, but it’s also transformative. As Haruki Murakami said, “What happens when people open their hearts? They get better.” I’m honored to be part of your journey to better days.

My Therapeutic Values

  • I believe that we should never stop growing and that personal growth requires education, motivation, risk, and self-reflection in order to be working towards our best selfs each and every day.

  • Holistic healing in therapy is the process of the therapist and client being aware of the person as a whole in their environment. I don’t want to focus solely on a diagnosis or symptom you’re experiencing rather, explore how we can make little changes to make bigger impacts into your overall health and healing.

  • Accountability is all about committing to the desired results you want. Being accountable allows us to be honest about how with impact our own healing and begins a process of self-reflection and honesty needed for therapy to work.

about me

A little about my background here: I was born & raised in SLC. I graduated from Westminster College in 2011 (Domain: Clinical Psychology & Pediatrics).

Following that, I got my Master’s of Social Work in 2019 at the University of Utah. I have been working in the field of mental health and substance use for over 12 years now and am excited to now start my own practice.

I have extensive experience working with people of all ages as they grow, heal, and explore how to make their lives better.

I believe that the therapeutic approach is one of mutual respect, openness and accountability. My role is to assist you in exploring your personal growth and challenging the ways in which thoughts, behaviors, or environment have affected that.

I look forward to working with you!
